The Start
I don’t know how this started.
I don’t know when, nor how our paths converged—but, they did.
You were supposed to be no more than a kind voice to hear, a quiet ear to listen to, or a laugh to ease the pain of silence.
But here I am: falling in love with your kind voice, your quiet ear, and your laugh that breaks the silence.
I didn’t know what falling in love would be like.
Nothing in this world could have prepared me for it.
But it's just that: falling.
Falling with nothing but trust, hope, anticipation, and hints of anxiety.
Falling hopelessly, mindlessly, and yet so purposefully—as if I were designed to fall.
And falling in love with you has been the most graceful and wonder-filled fall that my heart has ever experienced…
Beauty
Your beauty amazes me.
You take the words from my mouth, the air from my lungs, and the fear from my heart.
What power must one yield to have such immense beauty in every aspect of existence?
In your every detail, every grand scheme, and every story; I see your beauty.
In every fight, every love song, every melody of words; I see your beauty.
In every ounce of your admiration, adoration, and love; I see your beauty.
I see your beauty in everything.
Within the Spring flowers rising from the cold Winter soil, like the sun filling the Earth with its warmth, like the waves pulling at every grain of sand within reach; I see your beauty.
Some say you are only meant to fall in love once, and yet, I fall in love with your beauty even more as each day passes.
Tinted Glasses
I view the world through tinted glasses.
The ones that let me see things the way they should be seen.
The ones that let me see things through the beauty of your love.
Like your hand closed around mine.
Your eyes staring deep into my heart, deciphering every mystery that ︎︎lies within it.
Or your perfection even within imperfection.
And your gentle embrace, like the glow of sunlight.
Like your very presence, my dear.
I see it all through love.
I see you through love.
And I love what I see.
